The 2 calls for communications are closed.

 

Some instructions for accepted contributions:

• for oral presentations :
  • The total duration is 25 minutes: 20 minutes presentation + 5 minutes question.
  • The slides must be written in English. The language of the presentation can be chosen between French and English.
  • JOBIM is a multidisciplinary general conference: please make your presentation accessible to as many people as possible, by presenting the scientific context and the history of the problem.
    

• for posters :
  • Poster size: A0 portrait
  • The poster must be written in English

• for demos : 
  • Duration of the demo: 20 minutes

Call for Poster/Demo communications (closed)

At the interface of biology, computer science, mathematics and physics, JOBIM is the annual event gathering the community and actors of bioinformatics in France. All areas of bioinformatics are welcome (see the list of topics on the home page).

We welcome 4 categories of submissions:

• Poster "research": presentation of scientific results, recent or ongoing, published or not;

• Poster "platform": presentation of platform activities and services;

• Poster "networks": presentation of collaborative networks, working groups or associations;

• Demos: description of a software, a database, a pipeline, ... published or not. The software must be accessible at the time of submission and a demonstration of the software's functionalities is expected during the presentation. 

In all cases, the submission of a poster or demo will consist of an abstract of one page maximum, in French or in English.

All submissions are expected in the form of a PDF file, obtained with the "Poster_Demo" template from LaTeX (.tex), Open Office (.odt) or Word (.docx), available here : Templates_JOBIM2022.tar.gz. It is possible to use the citation style language (.csl) IEEE in order to ease the formating of your references.

SUBMISSION SCHEDULE :

• April 15: opening of submissions on the conference website.

• May 16: end of submissions.

• June 7: notifications to authors.

This year again, SFBI will award prizes for the best poster(s)/demo(s) of young scientists (Trainee, Engineer, PhD student, Post-doctoral fellow). Do not hesitate to apply by notifying your participation in your submission.

(Closed) Call for oral communications

At the interface of biology, computer science, mathematics and physics, JOBIM is the annual event gathering the community and actors of bioinformatics in France. All areas of bioinformatics are welcome (see the list of topics on the home page).

This first call only concerns oral presentations (a call specifically for posters will follow), three submission categories are proposed:

• Proceeding: an article between 4 and 8 pages (unpublished work, simultaneous or subsequent submission to a journal or another conference is allowed).
• Highlight: a one-page summary from an article published after January 1st, 2021.
• Platform and service activities : a one to two page summary.

All submissions are expected in the form of a PDF file, obtained with one of the conference templates in LaTeX (.tex), OpenOffice (.odt) or Word (.docx), to be submitted via the easychair platform. It is possible to use the citation style language (.csl) IEEE in order to ease the formating of your references.

To ensure that the conference will be accessible to non-French speakers working in our labs or who wish to participate, submissions (abstracts and articles) posters and slides of accepted presentations will be written in English. The language of presentation will be at the choice of the speaker.

• January 17 2022: opening of submissions
• March 18, 2022 March 23 2022 (23:59): end of novel submissions
• March 30 2022 (23:59) : final pdf final for submissions submitted until March 23
  
• May 4 2022: author notifications
